What do I do with all these scraps?

Have scraps laying around? Well sit on down and see what you can come up with! I have a pile of scraps leftover from the Splendor paper pack and I wanted to make a few extra cards. This is what I created with some scraps and just a few extra embellishments.

When I first started using CTMH products, I wasn't sure how I should best store my paper and if I should keep scraps. I didn't want to part with them, but I also didn't want to continue having a large pile of scraps that never got used and were just in the way. My solution was to store my paper packs in vertical paper storage holders in their original bags. When I work with the paper, I put all my scraps in the bag, too. So, no more waste, it's easy to see if I have a piece that will work before cutting into a new sheet, and I can grab a bag and know that all the paper coordinates and challenge myself to see what I can create using up scraps.

Hello!

Love this little owl from the Hot Diggity stamp set (C1407)! He makes me smile :-)

The paper is from the Splendor level II and the hello stamp is from Say it in Style (D1283). It is probably one of my most used stamp sets! I also used Autumn Terracotta buttons & ribbon.

Boom Di Ada Calendars

I just finished up my first round of Hostess Club with some amazing ladies! I'm looking forward to continuing the club. It has been wonderful to get a little bit of scrapbooking done each month & to keep my card supply stocked as well! As a little thank you gift for each of them, I took created a new cover for some pocket calendars. They are perfect to keep in a purse!

I used the Boom Di Ada paper pack - it is one of my all time favorites! I also used some coordinating stickease, Be True Stamp set, garden green ribbon, hollyhock and autumn terracotta buttons, colonial white waxy flax & brads. I hope they like them!

Hostess Club Splendor Projects

Each month my hostess club meets to create either a two page layout or a set of three cards. We always have a fun time and enjoy a little crafty time together!

This month my hostess club created with the Splendor paper pack! This paper is so fresh and happy! It is perfect for all those summer photos.

The layout design is called Front & Center that is found in Reflections (9031). I have fallen in love with the Pizzazz Irresistibles (Z1307). You sponge on your ink and Ta-DA! - an adorable coordinating embellishment! I used the stamp set Hot Diggity (C1407) as well (isn't that little birdie the cutest ever!).

This first card I tweaked from the Splendor Workshop on the Go kit. Simple & easy to put together!

The last card was created by a fellow consultant, Jennifer Rubio, and I thought was adorable! It was the perfect card to finish out our trio.

Hope you are all enjoying your summertime activities! Happy Scrapping!

Zippidee!!

Today we worked with the Zippidee paper for Hostess Club. This paper is perfect for all those Disney, carnival or theme park pictures. But, I'm finding it to be even more versatile - think 4th of July, birthdays, graduation or as one of our gals planned to use them for - vintage car pictures! The bright colors pop and just make you happy while working with them!

I scraplifted this layout from a CTMH consultant, Vicki Wizniuk, check out her blog here. As soon as I saw it, I was delighted! I couldn't wait to get pictures onto it! I had been browsing online for inspiration but this was just perfect for what I needed! With a quick title change, it would be a perfect fit for 4th of July photos! The layout design is from the Cherry-O Workshop on the Go. Here is just the left hand page.

Happy Scrapping!

Miracle Kit!

Celebrate National Scrapbooking Month with Close to My Heart's adorable Miracle kit (available through May 31st while supplies last).

I can't tell you just how beautiful these papers & stickease are in person! This kit is so fun & easy to put together! No stamping required! You can change the look by the ink you use to sponge onto the new Irresistibles™ Die-Cuts chip board. This allows you to coordinate the kit with whatever photos you want, just use an ink that coordinates with the dominate color in your photos. Here I used Pansy purple to tie it all together.

And, check out how fun flip flaps are!

Flip Flaps attach right onto your layout or your page protector and allow you to stack several photos in one spot! The brochure that comes with the kit gives you step by step instructions.

Check out all the details here. If you would like to order the kit you can find it on my website at kellyrobinson.myctmh.com or contact me. Happy Scrapping!

Easter cards & more with Caboodle!

The Caboodle paper pack is so versatile! This pack has a fun color scheme to use for all kinds of themes. Here are a few cards from our monthly hostess club and a few other cards that were sent off to a few special loved ones. I think I've fallen in love with Tiny Tabs! The are simply adorable! This was the first time I used the Booksmart dimensional elements on cards and it was so fun inking them & using them to highlight the images & sentiments!

This last card is from the Caboodle Workshop on the Go kit!
