Retired list for 2010 Going...going...gone!
Wow!! There are big changes coming in the new year for Close to My Heart!
In order to prepare for all the new goodies and exciting happenings, Close to My Heart released the list of all items to be retired as of December 31, 2010. The items on the list are available only while supplies last - so please order what you want before it's gone!
Take note that every paper pack except the 4 new ones to be released in the new Idea Book on September 1st will be retired! That includes Cherry-O, Splendor, Zippidee and Passages! I love these papers and while it will be hard to see them go...I'm very excited to see what CTMH has in store for us!

What do I do with all these scraps?
Have scraps laying around? Well sit on down and see what you can come up with! I have a pile of scraps leftover from the Splendor paper pack and I wanted to make a few extra cards. This is what I created with some scraps and just a few extra embellishments.
When I first started using CTMH products, I wasn't sure how I should best store my paper and if I should keep scraps. I didn't want to part with them, but I also didn't want to continue having a large pile of scraps that never got used and were just in the way. My solution was to store my paper packs in vertical paper storage holders in their original bags. When I work with the paper, I put all my scraps in the bag, too. So, no more waste, it's easy to see if I have a piece that will work before cutting into a new sheet, and I can grab a bag and know that all the paper coordinates and challenge myself to see what I can create using up scraps.

Boom Di Ada Calendars
I just finished up my first round of Hostess Club with some amazing ladies! I'm looking forward to continuing the club. It has been wonderful to get a little bit of scrapbooking done each month & to keep my card supply stocked as well! As a little thank you gift for each of them, I took created a new cover for some pocket calendars. They are perfect to keep in a purse!
I used the Boom Di Ada paper pack - it is one of my all time favorites! I also used some coordinating stickease, Be True Stamp set, garden green ribbon, hollyhock and autumn terracotta buttons, colonial white waxy flax & brads. I hope they like them!

Hostess Club Splendor Projects
Each month my hostess club meets to create either a two page layout or a set of three cards. We always have a fun time and enjoy a little crafty time together!
This month my hostess club created with the Splendor paper pack! This paper is so fresh and happy! It is perfect for all those summer photos.
The layout design is called Front & Center that is found in Reflections (9031). I have fallen in love with the Pizzazz Irresistibles (Z1307). You sponge on your ink and Ta-DA! - an adorable coordinating embellishment! I used the stamp set Hot Diggity (C1407) as well (isn't that little birdie the cutest ever!).
This first card I tweaked from the Splendor Workshop on the Go kit. Simple & easy to put together!
The last card was created by a fellow consultant, Jennifer Rubio, and I thought was adorable! It was the perfect card to finish out our trio.
Hope you are all enjoying your summertime activities! Happy Scrapping!
